Isaku and Zatto Konnamon have a peculiar relationship. Tomesaburou is very protective of Isaku and his safety, ever ready to help Isaku out, worrying for, and saving him "because they're roommates". They have special episodes, the "Doushitu (Roommate) series" in which Tomesaburou gets dragged into the Health Committee's or Isaku's antics and bad luck as well. The two are roommates, friends, and classmates. In his casual clothes, he wears a pink top with vertical line designs and burgundy bottoms. He has almond-shaped eyes and thin eyebrows. Under Niino sensei's supervision, Isaku dilligently trains to deliver the best medical service, and is a shining example to his juniors. As the Health Committee chairman, he takes his job of giving aid to injured or sick people responsibly and fairly.
